Ekspedisjonspadler og filmskaper Justine Curgenven – foredrag mandag 12 juni

Drøbak kajakklubb og Fredrikstad  kajakklubb er stolte over å kunne invitere til inspirerende og sprudlende foredrag med Justine Curgenven. Hun kommer til oss denne kvelden for å dele sine erfaringer fra ekspedisjoner og utallige eventyr i kajakk. Justine er også en anerkjent filmskaper som har mottatt flere priser for sitt arbeid.

Justine is an award winning adventure filmmaker and expedition seakayaker with thousands of miles under her paddle. She runs Cackle TV and created the highly acclaimed “This is the Sea” series of sea kayaking DVDs. Her films have won over a dozen prestigious prizes including at Banff, Kendal and Graz Mountain Film Festivals. She’s been a finalist in CKUK magazine’s “Paddler of the Year”, Canoe & Kayak Magazine’s “Female Paddler of the Year” and “Expedition of the Year”. She was named as one of the UK’s top 20 living explorers by ‘The Telegraph’ and was invited to meet the Queen at a Buckingham Palace reception for adventurers.

Justine has been a speaker at outdoor events around the world including London’s Adventure Travel Show . She’ll give a funny and inspiring multimedia presentation sharing highlights and lowlights of her expeditions around the world over the last 15 years, including a solo trip in Iceland, surf and brown bears with a novice kayaker in Kamchatka, the first traverse of the Aleutian island chain and a solo trip around Vancouver island.
